Genetically modified microorganisms (GMMOs) today find applications in the areas of human health, agriculture, environment, food, chemicals, etc… .

By genetic engineering, gene transfer method (to deliver specific genes in the desired host) contributed to the development of GMMOs. The most common recombinant microorganisms which express the genes of other organisms are E. coli, Bacillus subtilis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae Aspergillus niger.

My question is: Are there any other recombinant microorganisms contributed to the development of GMMOs other than those mentioned above?
