What Makes a Good Poster?
- Important information should be readable from about 10 feet away
- Title is short and draws interest
- Word count of about 300 to 800 words
- Text is clear and to the point
- Use of bullets, numbering, and headlines make it easy to read
- Effective use of graphics, color and fonts
- Consistent and clean layout
- Includes acknowledgments, your name and institutional affiliation
I think it is as the same as an article published in journal as long as it is reviewed. Regards.

I agree with the points that it has to be easy to read from a distance (because people are not standing right up to your poster) and I also add that one of the things that I have found is to not have too many pictures/diagrams in there (two maximum) because it is too distracting for the reader/viewer.

Therefore, the study questions and conclusions should be highlighted in an effective research poster, which should also employ informative graphics and visuals, have easy-to-read language, and more importantly novel findings.
