hello Ying Zhou im not an expert but i think you should block the other receptors by using antagonists ,i dont know if it is workable or not ,but be carfull some molecules maybe antagonist to a receptor and agonist to another in the same time.

Hi, Cornelius Krasel , the ligands I use is a GPCR ligand and the response can be inhibited in the presence of its GPCR receptor inhibitor. but This still cannot exclude the involvement of other receptors. So I am looking for some other downstream signal pathways which are specific to GPCR activation, so that I can exclude the involvement of other types of receptors.

Cornelius Krasel , thanks for your answer, I want to demonstrate that for a certain response there is not cross talk between GPCR and kinase receptors. As some cross talk happens via G-protein, so the knockout might not work.
