In order to get accurate physiological ranges of certain clinical and laboratory parameters the animals in the research should be healthy ? what are the most important criteria of those animals ? Thanks,
Animals which are intended to be used for research experiment should be in a perfect clinical health as indicated by the normal values of body temperature, respiration, appetite, haemtological values and certain plasma biochemical constituents reflecting the functional status of the liver and kidney. A short period of adaptation is essentially required .
