The prevailing opinion is that one can be a scientist conducting research without conducting didactics, however, combining scientific research with conducting didactic classes at the university has many positive aspects: students are eager to create research teams and help in conducting research. On the other hand, the results of scientific research can be the basis for writing interesting scientific papers, which complement the teaching techniques used in didactics.

Scientific research should provide new data necessary to update the material used in the teaching process. The knowledge conveyed to students and students in the teaching process should be up to date and should provide answers to key questions arising from specific sciences and taught disciplines. The aim of the knowledge update should be research. In addition, in the process of academic education, students should be taught the methodology of conducting scientific research, including also learn about modern methodologies and research tools. As part of the teaching of research methods, students should learn about the possibilities of using new information technologies, new media internet, Industry 4.0 technology for scientific research. Students should be motivated in the education process to create new, innovative topics and techniques for conducting research.

In view of the above, I am asking you:

What are the positive aspects of combining academic research with didactics at universities?

Please reply.
