More persons like teachers become unsatisfied with their jobs and more are likely to leave their schools or universities, what are the reasons in your view
Dear @Fatima, it may be the pay increase, job un-satisfaction, family reasons, better career opportunity, health reasons,..., avoiding stress and pressure...!
In my country Serbia, there is a job shortage, so no one leaves a job!

In countries, which have high rates of unemployment, leaving a job is not easy. The person will usually adhere to the job with a "Super Glue"! despite all the surrounding negative aspects. My lucky friends, who left their inadequate jobs for better ones, cited for me many reasons for quitting the previous organizations such as: no job satisfaction, low salaries, hostile working environment, inequality, injustice, racism, arrogance of the top managements, obstruction of real research, unfair deductions of overtime money, and a polluted atmosphere of pretence, hypocrisy, spying and backbiting. In some places, some old universities fought "tooth & nail" to prevent establishment of private universities because they know very well that many intellectuals will leave once there are new opportunities.
I fully agree with dear Professor Krishnan, who is experienced industrialist-Academic, that bosses are the major reason. Some of them consider the organization as their backyard garden & those who come to work are no more than serfs. When a boss thinks that, God has created men & women to serve him & his family, how can these workers continue with such arrogant dictator ? For sure, they will leave once a door of opportunity opens up.
@ Fatima, Not only popular but an inevitable reason (most of the cases) to rationalize as a cause for leaving a job... (experienced in exit interviews)
"It's like, now you're actually complaining because you're making $9 million and guys are making more? If it makes you that upset, quit. Leave the game. Go home then and try finding another job that's going to pay you that."
May be there are many problems with students or the way of teaching or preparing lessons. Teaching is a hard work and responsibility, but don't leave your job if you don't have another!!
High pressure, lack of job satisfaction, compulsion from the employers to do unethical things for their vested interests etc. are some of the reasons. As the unemployment is high in our country, people will try to stick on their jobs to the maximum extends, They will leave the job only on unavoidable circumstances.
Many reasons were mentioned for living a job. Here is an example how to leave a job!
How to Leave Your Job Gracefully!
"Emotions run high during a last day on a job. You want to vent frustrations with colleagues, have a few laughs, or just disappear.
The last impression is the one people remember.
A graceful exit can burnish an employee’s reputation and shore up valuable relationships. A bad one can do serious damage to both.
And, making a scene or trying to get vigilante justice may feel good, but offenders usually become the subject of gossip and cautionary lore around the office...
Many departing employees forget that former bosses and colleagues are likely to become references, customers, clients or colleagues in the future..."
