Those parameters exclusively working at cellular / subcellular level are responsive to any stress exposure. The parameters like ultra structure, enzymatic activities etc are supposed to undergo earliest changes and as go on towards higher plant organisational structure , the magnitude of response ceases in a scale .Probably , this is the bigger flaw in our method of evaluating plant response to stress...

Yes Dr Srivastava sir I do agree with you and these key points should be focused while selecting the studies on stress and other. I just want to add one thing in that, there are few factors which leads to change the metabolic activities of the plant like proline content, K: Na ratio, Ca:Na ratio, enzymatic activities and very important is the excess uptake of any nutrient etc. Sir may these factors are not involved in every crop but these are the few factors which affects the metabolism of the crop.

Yes you are right Dr More , these are basic principles of stress response of any plant. But again , defining parameters and their thresholds to alleviate stress do vary a great deal , depending upon plant species....
