Loss of inherent properties
CNTs:
- absorb light
- increase viscosity
- may have adhesion and dispersion issues
- are more expensive than carbon black (CB)
- have a lower percolation threshold than CB or spherical nanofillers (can be also an advantage, depending on application)
Carbon Nanotubes have just as many disadvantages as graphene does.
-Huge Regulations
-Labeled as a toxic substance
-Hard to manufacture
-Dispersion issues
-Market is controlled by a few players

Also I would like to mention that all nanoparticles/nanomaterials like carbon nanotubes can be manufactured to be safe, nontoxic, and affordable. It all depends on the materials, process and type of functionalization.
