As the climate change is an important global issue and different parts of the world will face some serious problems in food security in the future. But we should manage the situation of all of us in different parts of the world need to have horizontal learning and get the best practices from the filed level and share our knowledge and experiences to manage the food security challenges in future. I am looking for the best ideas and solution to build sustainability in agriculture particularly for the small farmers and poor resource producers.
I believe back to basics, in short an integrated system approach!

Land reclamation through storage and conservation of moisture in the soil. To do this an employment of perennial plants (shrubs and trees) is necessary. Check out the work of permaculturist Geoff Lawton has done in the Middle East for this purpose. Also agroforestry and agroecology, which commonly share the idea of increasing the diversity (both above and below the soil) in farms have been very successful in restoring land to outstanding biological productivity.
