With nearly six billion active minds in the world, there are endless axes of ideas about every aspect of creation.
Some thoughts revolve around reality and some are about fantasy. As there are many myths and rumors about the most popular topics, there are common mistakes that revolve around the concept of "concentration or meditation", which is the meaning of some cases of loss of thought. It means concentrating, contemplating and evoking all kinds of images and concepts in your personal perspective without being influenced by what surrounds you.
Mindful leadership simply means that you are highly aware of what's going on around you, said Richard Jolly, adjunct professor of organizational behavior at the London Business School.
"It involves the ability to pay attention to your environment, both within the organization and in the broader business environment," said Jolly. "[It means] being present to what is happening in the moment ... [and] listening carefully and nonjudgmentally. Mindful leaders are collaborative and able to cope with high levels of uncertainly and complexity without getting overwhelmed."
Mostly noticeable by people other than ourselves. Assuming we are lost in thought. A trance-like mind state that is other than mindfulness. Where one is contemplating about the past or future. The computer is lost in thought, whilst we wait, presently for it's output. The status indicator on the screen reads, "still processing..." In short,... in limbo.
From a collectivist perspective, individuals that are "lost in thought" may be viewed as having a predilection for non-compliance, lacking a sense empathy, with a bend towards individualism. That may be the case as a society marches ever steadily towards a robotic society.
When creating artificial brains that mimic human cognitive processes, researchers have also found that recommendation systems are sometimes decoupled from their appropriate contexts. That may also be a another definition of "lost in thought"- processing information in a context alien from its current contextual setting.
