A Domestic: a1-kitchen-work-water for garden-irrigation, a2-roof-collection for all rain-water and using in-house for non-drinking-purposes; a3 safing santitation-water with safing-technology; (e.g. toilette-flush with 5 instead of 10 ltr. a4 shower-system with foot-controled taps for efficient use; a5 all taps with air-injectors-nozzles;  

B Industrial: many enormous efficient recycling-sustems and alternative approaches have been developed recently and are available on www.;

C Agriculture: c1 breaking capillary upstream of soil-water by tine-tilling intermittendly in the crop-stand; c2 covering soil-surfaces with mulch, flat stones, plastic, etc. depending on local conditions and costs; flat-stones have an enormous potential where abondandly available; stone-mulching; c3 drip-/bubbler-/trickle irrigation with almost 50% safing; c4 water-coefficient: selecting only those crops and varieties with a low water-coefficient per kg of drymatter; enormous plant-physiological differences; liter-of-water per kg of drymatter produced; breeding for high water-efficiency and triggering a water-coefficient-mentality; c5 abondaning all trees, shrubs, crops with extremely high water-consumption from drought-prone areas; c6 using the fantastic options of water-harvesting in most lands; countouring, infiltration-galleries, retention-dams, birkuts, haffir-dams, wind-breaks;

Governments, private sectors and people (end users)  must work hand in hand and harder to protect and conserve water and ensure supplies for the future. What we are doing today is just addressing the issue, yet water scarcity is increasing globally. We must Invest more in Innovative water and energy saving technologies such as purification system to take the “waste” out of “wastewater.”,  Above all, small behavioral changes can significantly reduce domestic consumption and water waste.  For this we can use smart meters in our houses to monitor water usage and consumption, make adjustments and identify leaks in real time.

Water is of major importance to all living things. in some organisms, up to 90% of their body weight comes from water. Up to 60% of the human adult body is water.

In the home, each person uses about 70 gallons of water a day.

This is a lot of water, but more than half of the water used by industries. For example, it takes 250 tons of water to make a ton of newspaper and 10 gallons to produce one gallon of gasoline. 

Knowing this importance we must conserve water.

May I add preservation of wetlands from development. The wetlands clean groundwater before it can be used by homes/ irrigation or industrials. If we destroy wetlands, we lose precious water resources.
