Group consist of people with different skills and objectives.
Team consist of people who share the same skills with the same objectives.

I think that meaning of "group" and "team" differ across cultures. Groups can be formed by some principle (for example, a class in school based on pupils' residence and age). In a similar manner group can be any subdivision in any organization, based on task, location, etc. Groups can also emerge endogenously, like hobby group based on common interest. In the second case psychological links are taken into account, while in organization typically not (and his can lead to some conflict).
Team, to my mind, is oriented at some goal. Let just think about football team. Members have different skills (to defend or to attack) and they complement each other following the common objective. Team in organizations can be formed on permanent or temporary basis depending on the task. In general, team is more goal oriented. Skill composition as a perfect mix for a certain task is an objective to form a good team. In a group it can be whatever.
Team work is the fundamental landmark of civilisation. Whatever the cultural meaning of this, whatever the worldwide differences, team work is the secret of good Organisations.
In some large Organisation, Groups could be sections in that particular firm while teams consist of individuals under a particular group working for a particular organisation interest. Both (Groups and Teams) work in tandem to the organisations stated goal which is to maximize profit.
Some times the essence is for division of labour and specialization. In another instance it could bring in inter and intra - competition for better delivery to the organisations goals which are all good.

Just in your answer you already postulated big differences between "group" and "team" inspired by the solid stream of literature in OT, OD and on 'team-building'. I must disappoint you -- a team is just a group of people which exhibit better working relationship, higher mutual trust and more quick mutual understanding. Just imagine a class of 30 boys which decided to pay footboll. The skills to be a good forward, halfbacks and gatekeepers were already in the initial group of boys. The class is going to split into two teams of 11 persons plus a referee leaving a few most clumsy boys just to watch the game or to enter occasionally into the play accordingly to the three above mentioned factors.
For working tasks requiring better working relationship, higher mutual trust and more quick mutual understanding transforming concentrated or dispersed (cross-functional) groups into teams may be a necessity. Successful designing, manufacturing and moving to the market a radically new product usually requires better working relationship, higher mutual trust and more quick mutual understanding between all employees involved into the project, so we talk about a "launch team". The shift at the assembly line of Ford car factories in 1920-1930s was just a group of persons, not "an assembly team".
