I believe course and faculty evaluation is a part of every university. Is there any research done on it.? and what are the future research possibilities in this area?
The area has gained a lot of momentum in recent years. In fact, Ellis (1998,1999) has emphasized the issue by enumerating three types of evaluation for a course; namely, pre-use, in-use and post-use evaluations. The main aim should be what is called Value For Money (VFM) criterion. The final aim is to see if the program under scrutiny is cost-effective.
Can you provide a link to his research. I am googling but not much luck so far.
Not all the time VFM is a criteria specially in public university. We target for the usefulness of course and also the understanding imparted by the instructor to the student and how much interest piqued in the students for the subject matter.
