Critical and Creative thinking dispositions are very important goals of teaching, including the teaching of mathematics. We want our students to have good and productive critical and creative thinking dispositions. Therefore, we need to ensure that our teaching should meet the requirements of these disposition developments.
Would anybody share ideas on factors that should be taken into consideration if we want to develop these dispositions, please?

Have you come across Polya's How to Solve It? In my opinion, it is the best collection of heuristics required to develop creativity and critical thinking in mathematics. For a more in-depth, philosophical analysis, look up Polya's Patterns of Plausible Inference.
In my opinion, these are some of the elements than should be considered in order to stimulate the interest of the students in Mathematics
1- Mathematics should be taught on a rational basis free of dogmatism.
2- Principles, theorems, axioms, rules, among others, should be taught explaining the meaning of all terms used by them and indicating to the students why these principles, theorems, axioms, rules, exist, why the students should understand them as important elements of the study of Mathematics.
3- The idea that certain principles, theorems, axioms, rules, among others, should be learned without any explanation why the students should know them, should not be applied in teaching Mathematics.
4- Mathematics should be taught using practical examples of its importance for the solution of real problems that can be found in the real life.
5- Mathematics should be taught motivating the students to find appropriate answers to real questions individually and in a collective manner.
6- A good professor in Mathematics is the one that is involved in research activities in which he/she has to apply different mathematical tools in the solutions of theoretical or practical problems.
7- Mathematics should be taught using as reference the best available books.
8- Mathematics should be taught indicated its connection with other sciences and disciplines.
Thank you very much Alex and Jorge... In mu opinion, disposition is developed after a long period of time ... is it true?
If so.. it means that consistency showing good contribution of mathematics will be a big matter... based on social learning theory, it seems that the teacher should first model the disposition... of course the positive and productive one... if the students the goodness of these model, they will accep it as a good thing, willing to imitate it, dan if they see the good impact of implementing that good disposition, they will internalize and finally express that disposition spontaneously ...
