Different studies or industries report a variety of values for their adsorption characteristics of zeolite. i want to know about the major factors which affect the adsorption like formulation, ratios or gel composition. i would be grateful if you could reply.

Zeolites being hydrophilic adsorbents, the adsorption is influenced by the basicity and the electric field mainly, but also the pore size. The basicity and the electric field are directly linked to the nature of the cations present in the structure, to the Si/Al ratio and to the nature of the adsorbed molecules (adsorbates) while the pore size is defined by the type of zeolite structure.

As I pointed out in my previous answer, the basicity of zeolites increases with an increase in the electropositivity of the cations. Thus, the effect of cations on substrate basicity is directly proportional to their size. However, adsorption is also influenced by the distribution, number, and size of cations contained in the zeolite structure.
