As far i have understood, the field form in vector notation can be described as

  • E(R) =  ( εx - i εy) * u(x,y,z) * e( - i l Φ)   - Right Circular LG beam
  • E(L)  =  ( εx + i εy) * u(x,y,z) * e( i l Φ)  - Left Circular LG beam

where εx and εy are unit vectors. However, I am bit confused about the angular momentum part. will both the polarization (R,L) have same phase i.e., e( - i l Φ) or the Right circular must have the phase e( - i l Φ) and the Left circular must have the phase e( + i l Φ) ?
