I would like to focus on the industries you can see from a birds eye perspective. The oil industry and the closed colonel pipeline will cause major problems in the Eastern US. The fuel prices started to increase. The other transparent business is the aviation companies, especially which ones use Houston as a hub. Also, you can catch the impact on them via stock exchange prices.
Some of the supply chains can be handled as a group, farmers, retailers, and their upstream and downstream supply chains. You can catch those as a group via newspaper articles.
