I have 2.2*2.2 cm2 electrodes and a gel electrolyte. what will be the best set-up for electrochemical capacitor i can use for this electrode and electrolyte ?

Only two configurations in supercapactiors, symmetric and asymmetric. You mentioned that , you have a two electrodes with same area, but without knowing the kind of electrode, it is hard to explain the things.
Say something you already know about the configurations of supercapacitors, and then people here can help you.
i have modified the question, my question is about the experimental setup we use for the assembly of supercapacitor. e.g. split cell arrangement etc.
is there any other which can be used for organic electrolytes as well as gel electrolytes ?
