The sources of data required in ecosystem services valuation depends mainly on the purpose of the valuation, the type of value that suits such purpose and the appropriate method of valuation that can determine the type of value sought. In general terms, these sources include the location, type and characteristics of the ecosystem services, the users or beneficiaries of such services and their level of willingness to pay for the services in the market place.

To evaluate forest ecosystem service (s), it is important to follow a framework (Millennium Ecosystem Assessment). According to a standard framework, identify your ecosystem service (s) first you are interested in. Then you search particularly following your area of focus into google scholar and web of science. My particular work in this field is under way of publication. I can share this one later. However, you can read this one and hope you can get better insights into ecosystem services evaluation.
