What are the differences between Ph.D. dissertation and master of science in terms of purpose, the amount of the work, conclusion, etc in your opinion?
During the M.Sc thesis, stdunt should only learn and practice a technique regarding his/her field subject and be able to analyse a set of data and interpert results leading to logical scientific output. But a PH.D. candidate nacessarly have to develop a techniqe and apply data with new and compare results with other methods.

I found the 'leap' from masters to PhD much greater than from bachelor level to masters. I feel that my PhD supervisors' support was what got me there in the end and still feel grateful for their support. Although the masters course that I took helped me to help myself and the support was there if I needed it, I seem to remember that I used my own resources. But PhD was a much greater learning curve.
Master's project - the student learn the methodology of research steps through basic designs such as descriptive and non experimental sometimes comparative and experimental designs if the guide is interest to lead the project . Usually the submission is easy and few weeks only data collection .
Ph.D dissertation it is time consuming - should have indexed publications for eligibility , before submission you should publish 2 papers for the same topic.
Dissertation analysis and interpretation of findings explained in detail . Data collection period 12- months for non experimental , experimental 24 months. Guide will decide the years of submission or extension of period /in years ! whatever you are best and doing on time !! Usually guide extend the candidate for more number of publications with their name will be second author and some will expect some other benefits. If you see the doctorates they will be quiet and philosopher of life .
If you are happy you can publish your MS thesis as a single paper in a good journal, then you need some more papers to get your Ph.D. In China one paper must be in a journal with impact factor 2. You also have to have a higher degree on your studies in your MS in ordet to get permission to enter the studies for PhD along with a good research plan and also a plan for funding. MS thesis takes on average 2 years, My PhD student put 13 years on her thesis, she got the best grade but it was too long.
Doing a Ph.D is in essence telling your future employers that you've been trained in scientific research. This means that you have spent about 2-5 years working on a project independently and suitably publishing your results. It gives you the credibility to work and possibly lead research teams or teams of research assistants/programmers to a novel project. The pay starts off higher as well, since usually employers count your grad school years as working experience.
A master's degree is a higher level training in a certain area. Some masters are terminal degrees with no research part, just more classes that are more specialized and difficult. Others will have a small thesis option. The master's degree is quite flexible, in my opinion, and can be done in 1-2 years. It's a good way for someone to switch fields.
Here you have written a lot of positive features of Ph.D.… But you have forgotten to mention that if a student of PhD gate results and invent new method research which is against to the mainstream science stab: he cannot get easily the PhD (MsC. too). In the case of MsC. I had felt it in case of MsC. project making… In case of Ph.D. you can ask Demetris Christopoulos (Ph.D. candidate):
Thanks professors for your valuable contribution . A new intervention developed in Ph. D - how and where to do patent right this is not because of royalty , should be used proper citation . If you have done patent right please share this benefits of field. Thanks
