The transport data collection methods varies by country and some countries have much better data collection practices than others. For instance, some do not collect any data on cycling and walking. In Switzerland, every five years a census on mobility is conducted: "Mikrozensus Verkehrsverhalten". You can access the results in english at http://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/portal/en/index/themen/11/04/blank/03.html

I am trying to collect the data on daily mobility across the European countries and cities in order to compare them and to investigate whether it is possible to transfer some data between similar cities. You are aware that collection of transport data is very expensive and time consuming.
