Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is an evidence based psychological intervention to help individuals suffering from recurring depression to prevent major depression relapse. However, MBCT can also be used in other psychological problems too. The core components of MBCT include mindfulness meditation, cognitive and behavioural techniques to stay at present. The MBCT program is an 8-week course of instruction and exercise.
