Proper standard needs to be evolved in order to facilitate the usage of slag. Industries should take necessary action for complete utilisation of slag.Promoting awareness and usage needs to be done at different level.
Slag is associated with problems of downstream processing of leach liquors due to formation of silica gel which is a result of higher silica dissolution at acidic pH. Therefore, most preferably biological methods can be preferred to acid leaching methods.
