Population growth, rising sea levels and land/ resource scarcity are some of the global issues that we are facing today and the situation is projected to deteriorate in the subsequent few decades. My research intends to investigate the considerations and positive and negative influences for the concept of a large-scale floating urban infrastructure as a solution to this global issue adopting existing constructed floating communities as precedents.
