Yes there are e.g. Metaswitch, Sonus, AudioCodes, RAD, Buzzinbees, Radisys etc. vIMS software that can run on typical IT servers e.g. HPE servers ready for NFVI (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure) which are carrier grade. HPE & other IT server manufacturers design their servers (compute & storage) not only for vIMS but also for other VNFs like vEPC, vCPE, RAN, SDN, VAS etc. HPE & these IT server manufacturers' strategy is to horizontalize the IT infra to support various VNFs whereas some vIMS software vendors still prefer to verticalize their products i.e. from software at the top down to the infra at the bottom via their own hardware appliance or server that might promote vendor locked in.
