Many authors become successful to publish their article in a Journal after several rejections by other Journals. What are the issues that the authors should take special care to increase the acceptance probability of the first submission.
Articulate the international relevance of your study.. This is crucial because most of the studies are conducted in a single country. Some authors merely state that they conducted this study because there is no existing study on the topic in their own country. This is not a sound reason for embarking upon a study. Therefore it is important to identify limitations in previous studies and a generate problem statement based on the identified gaps. If you can clearly identify methodological or generalization limitations and present how your study addresses those limitations, you have greater chance of making it out to the reviewers.
Follow the author guidelines of the journal. Most of the editors do not like it when authors do not follow the author guidelines.
Clear and scholarly writing which includes, clear research questions and explicit description of sample, study setting, data collection tools, rigor, and findings.
