Hi All,
We have a Thermo Scientific Multidrop™ Combi Reagent Dispenser and one of the tip of its small volume metal tip dispensing cassette was clogged so that the liquid cannot shoot straight anymore.
We tried using syringe + soft tube that fits on the tip to flush out whatever things that clog up the cassette. We also tried to use both water and ethanol to clean but nothing helped.
Any suggestion for ways to clean the dispensing cassette will be very much appreciated.

It would help to know what liquid was dispensed through the tip-nozzle that is " clogged so that the liquid cannot shoot straight anymore. " Maybe there are crystallization deposits, or deposits from another liquid component that is no longer soluble. Maybe there is corrosion of the tip-nozzle, and the hole is no longer round. Maybe there there is no flow condition, due to clogging. Maybe there are dirt particles clogging the tip, due to inadequate liquid supply
If you can examine the tip-nozzle using 5X or 10X microscope/lens you may see which of the above is causing the problem. Since you have tried water and ethanol, you may like to try hot water with detergent and agitation. Do you have ultrasonic bath for agitation? Acid or base solution can clean some types of deposits. If the tip is metal, and the deposit is organic, [and you can safely heat the tip] you might try burning the tip to clean it, with a torch. A fine wire might clean the tip-nozzle mechanically.
