I need to grind PLA in order to perform hydrolysis with a liquid ionic catalyst. So far, all I have tried is grinding the pellets in a small coffee/spice grinder along with dry ice for cooling. This was not successful. I am currently looking at some sort of solvent foaming in order to make the PLA easier to grind. I don't have access to a ball grinder, which is something I've read on here.
