While submitting research papers there is an option to link with ORCID. What is the benefits of having ORCID and linking your manuscript while submission process?
There are possibility of multiple authors having same name. In many cases individual author also write research paper by many names. Like "Shashi Kant Srivastava" or "S. K. Srivastava". ORCID gives you unique identity as a researcher. Both the cases mentioned above are sorted out by ORCID ID.

Can you link your ORCID id to Researchgate so you only need to add research to one site and it will add to the other?
To me, basically, ORCID provides a unique identity number for the researcher, as pointed out by other colleagues.
