It is quite interesting that, despite being a popular modality, there are no guidelines for use of PRP in India. As far as legal guidelines specific to PRP are concerned, there are none.
Furthermore, there are different techniques to prepare PRP depending on what the user wants to inject: leukocyte depleted or leukocyte rich PRP. There are closed systems to prepare the same and there are open ones as well. So the confusion is galore!
Many international societies have come up with their own clinical guidelines but none of them are binding.
No guidelines but plethora of research regarding it's use in various coditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, other enhesitis or tender points.. even in Bone Union or open wound management etc.
Various variants like leukodepleted,. etc also described and used. Robust evidence still awaited though.
