I have a material having solid state pyrene monomer emission, I want to know its advantages over its excimer emission, can anyone please guide
One of the highly explores application of pyrene monomer emission is in organic light emitting doides (OLEDs). Pyrene monomer emission lies near pure blue region which is highly desirable on electroluminiscent devices. Excimer emission produce long wavelength emission which spoils the color purity of emission. So if you have good solid state monomer emission of pyrene then you can go for oled device fabrication also.
