I am looking for studies about learning to read in two or more languages simultaneously or successively.
I am aware of studies about immigrant children in the US, Canada etc. but am interested in studies about children in other countries around the world.
I am interested in studies that analyze the process of learning to read in languages that are a combination of opaque & transparent languages of all kind (not only Spanish/English or the most "prestigious" languages).
Just to make a few examples:
Arabic-Greek at home – Dutch/English at school/community
Arabic- Russian & English at home – Dutch (or French) at school/community
Chinese - Russian & English at home – French or Italian at school/community
etc.
Thank you in advance!
