I am looking for studies that focus on plurilingual children whose most dominant language is not one of their home/heritage languages, and who can therefore be accepted in "native speaker" sections of international schools (eg. German section in a European School for example).

I am also looking for policies in international schools that recognize language shift in school aged children and allow them to move their status from EAL or "additional language student" to "native language" student, preferably allowing this "native speaker" status in more than one language!...
