I am currently working on instructional materials that are zero-waste or that can help reduce wastes in science laboratory activities. To share your journals, articles, and research/es to help me in my study is highly appreciated. Thanks!
1. Demonstrate the practical while projecting a video to the whole class to be seen.
2. Grouping students to do a single practical.
3. Select what practicals can actually support to get the Intended learning outcome and avoid doing unnecessary practicals.
4. Upload a video of the practical to Learning Management System to give an initial preparation to students which can reduce material usage during actual practical.
5. Collect answers online through the Learning Management System (Paper Saving)
6. Deliver teaching materials using only electronic methods. LMS (Paper Saving)
7. Record the practical once you do it , next year you can show it without attending and you can save the time.
8. Ask students to purchase simple things and bring - it will motivate them to interact with real environment and learn while reducing university purchase bills.
Hi, there are many methods of teaching to reduce waste of materials in the Laboratory. You can use group learning method, demonstration, use of real life examples, discovery methods, simulation methods.
