As I continue to work on the attempts of Islamists who are going to institutionalising Islamism. Islamism has changed their strategy to involve in the society more deeply or invisibly. They are institutionalising Islamic education in a privet sectors, the media, business, culture, sport and even joining the secularist political parties openly.
What institutionalising theories you believe to be useful, interesting, or important to theorise Islamism as they are attempting to institutionalising Islamism? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Yes, it is a process in the UK that I noted especially in the education sector. I worked briefly in a school in East London where a Christian-based school had had all the Christian based iconography removed and Allah was employed, on the highly dubious basis that they were the same god. At that same school, it emerged that a group of 6th Formers had instituted a support group for Isis but although the authorities went into the school, they should really have removed the people running it. I did not last long as I think they thought I was a plant. Many private schools there, if they register people not of the same religion and puritanical outlook, exert immense pressure on them to convert. One of the managers told a student to cover up her arms. I warned the manager off, citing the laws of the country-which he was breaking.
The changes to the Labour party, its growing antisemitism and support of terrorism, may demonstrate your other point on infiltration of political parties. (I actually know a great deal more than I've revealed here-but enough said).
I noticed that some weaker minded students found this certainty and authoritarianism appealing. Many people clearly find the world easier to engage with if all thinking or the necessity of thinking is removed.
But my work on psychiatry indicates the same. The science behind it is flawed and barely constitutes a science at all. As I've analysed here, the monoamine hypothesis is entirely based on experiments with rats-they connect rats suffering from stress-induced conditions and human depression, say they are the same, and without engaging in proper scientific analysis have drugged up half the present population. They deny that the drugs cause personality-alteration and long term harm and are able to because everything for them is based on observation, and patients experiences are not factored in or even enquired after. The methods of diagnosis are highly dubious with no to little basis in science. The institutionalising comes through the medical professions capacity to convince the rest of the world that psychiatry is a science, when if any other profession did the same, and provided the same evidence, they'd be laughed into silence.
