Hello. I am working on the potential impact of the electrification of heavy duty vehicles (battery-propulsion systems) on the electricity demand, and in order to estimate the changes in the demand (with different time resolutions) I need to have some estimates about the charging patterns of these vehicles. Do you know any good experiment/publication associated with real cases all over the world?
I don't think there are enough such vehicles in existence yet to establish reliably a charging pattern. But you can estimate one by looking at the daily usage of fossil fuelled vehicles. However, that can be misleading because their operators may choose to use electric vehicles differently. Instead I suggest you do some modelling and find the least inconvenient charging patterns for such vehicles and compare them with known usage of diesel fuelled vehicles.
TESLA had already launched vehicle. The patterns of charging the battery for the vehicle is to be studied by modeling and simulatioons.

Think of having a light weight powerful engine that can generate direct current continuously to charge your batteries. Micro-gas turbine can do that.

I know lack of data on empirical cases, and what I am looking for is mainly the results of some pilot or demonstration projects which can shed light on the behavior of drivers and truck owners. In the current version, I am simulating the patterns under different scenarios, followed by sensitivity analysis
