Actually, I recommend the journals “Social Networks” and “Computers in Human Behavior”. The papers presented will give you a good impression of what topics might be of interest to you.
Some recent topics are:

- how the structure of (communication) networks influences a bunch of different variables (e.g. DOI: 10.1080/10584609.2014.

I would also recommend studies that relate networks, social capital and social inequalities linked to social class.
