Monitoring implies that a resultant stuctural pattern has to be compared with its reference pattern. For comparison purpose, we need to compare features such as mean, std. deviation,variance, autocorrelation, MAP, it's probability distribution, wavelet transform, other first and second order moments and cumulants etc. While comparing few features will have its significant contribution, that can be observed.
