I am nearly sure you would like to understand brain functionning as depictable or describable as a single "logical global and objective" process at least to be usefull for humanity via health care questions.

If we want to improve most efficiently cooperative research about such a question and those related to it seems reasonnable to me to adopt few competitive strategies to federate Our Earth Common Research ( OECR ) as a single person unified, at least when conscious ( see " L'inconscient aux mille visages" Pierre.Buser Odile jacob ) helped by the freedom of each person to take advantage of being guided by his own way of "feeling" this and these questions. => One logic could result in cooperation of several logics.

For me we cannot avoïd to think about body/mind question as a/the general mathematical* but philophical too question of life.

Recently browsing on Wikipedia drove my attention about the important concept of not well defined "plasticity(ies)" related to the one of "memory".

You must add the influence of M. Edelman proposing the "assembly of neurons"  as guiding our thougths to collaborative aspects of life but with extention to astrocytes first and sooon  on demand or ad hoc assemblies of anything needed that can be  mobilized by what if not a common goal ( having under goals if needed.) ?

* When I speak about maths i'd rather evocate abstract concepts of any kind and links able to create and express them what suuposes a semantic approach of any kind ...

I guess that high-performance/supercomputing, data mining, statistical analysis and energy efficiency are also important related issues.  

By the way, did you heard about the Human Brain Project? I read that one of its aims is to develop a first approximation of a physical computational model of the human brain. I think that it would be useful in your case.

I only know the study of artificial neural network in computer science is relevant to neuroscience.

The fields of computational neuroscience, theoretical neuroscience, neuromorphic engineering and neuroinformatics combine computer science and neuroscience in some way. Some potentially interesting topics for a person working on AI: mathematical models of synaptic plasticity and dendritic computations,  Bayesian inference in spiking networks, the new generation of brain-inspired computational devices (for example, IBM's TrueNorth chip).

As in unconscious, motivation, emotion and perception play an important role in the neuroscience. Being a Pakistani, it is not possible for me to join this conference due to much expensive and short time to participate such conference. 

I'm sure there are a lot of ways in wich Artificial Intelligence is bonded with NeuroScience but the one i'm more related is in using Image Processing in Medical Images more exactly TAC Images to automaticly detect strokes and classify them using Support Vector Machines.
