You can use LC/MS/MS of extract with acetone as blank.

You could perform GC-MS or GC-MSMS headspace analysis on the lyophilized product. Acetone is very volatile and you should be able to detect acetone in the low ppm range (MS) to ppb range (MSMS) with minimal effort.
