Recent reports indicate that the original designers of these combined keyboard instructions or Internet address prefix have publicly expressed their regret to the inconvenience of such massively used commands. Is there any way to evolve conventional things, which we’ve already been used to, to be better?

As I recall it, the Ctrl-Alt-Del was the reboot command back in the DOS days. It was only later co-opted for other purposes like the task manager, because it has its own handler in the BIOS. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control-Alt-Delete)
In that regard, there are many improvements that have been made by other operating systems, most of them pre-dating Windows. So, the question is really how did Ctrl-Alt-Del enter the public consciousness as a de facto method of doing anything. That comes from the prevalence of the Windows in the marketplace, we all know how that came about:
