Looks like a mold. The hyphae is usually transparent and gives a fuzzy appearance in the liquid medium in which it grows. They are a potential group of organisms that could be used in biodegradation of recalcitrant materials. Looking forward to know what the organism is!!!!!!!
I will be attempting to sequence it for identification. However, when looking under the microscope it did not look like mold it more resembled filamentous bacteria but it did have a peculiar pattern. I attempted plating it but it does not seem to grow so far.
I have heard of molds growing in tetrapacks containing fruit juices due to contamination. I suppose it is quite a big colony growing in your solution, u could still go for a variety of procedures for identifying the organism. I doubt that it is a bacteria as u say that u found a very peculiar filamentous pattern. It had created a kind of curiosity in knowing what organism it is.
