Hi all, I need everyone's instant attention on my query that usually which methodology specifically sampling method is used in web based survey method? My problem is that if I conduct a survey by Facebook then probably the data will biased because only limited types of friends circle I would have on my Facebook page so this will affect the data, therefore how to start a web based survey without baisness?? If I supposed to conduct the same survey on WhatsApp then also how I will get the mobile number of my representative populations?

I see no way to get an internet study that is unbiased in any sense. The key then is to know the population(internet users of whatever) so that you can comment on the biases successfully. Many software developers will have such info which you can compare with your sample. BE SURE to describe any differences. Good luck, D. Booth
Suppose the population of my study is all the whatsapp users of my district, which will nearly 30,00000 but unfortunately I have only limited contact then how will I justify that my sample will be representative. one method I found that I can create a chain of friends of friends to reach to all possible locations of my district. but what we will call such type of sampling and will it really satisfy my sample representation? it is similar to snow ball sampling to some extent but not exactly because I want to use regression in my study with probability sampling, please help me to find new way of web based sample methods.
