This commentary is a must for anyone in clinical practise, science & research and especially for the youth future academics. Guidelines are a help- and useful clinical instrument for decision making but increasingly the independency has been questioned.
Reality
Although the Institute of Medicine had published a 300 page document for improving quality of guidelines in 2011, the proportion of panelists with conflicts in guidelines written before and after the recommendations of the institute revealed similar proportions for members disclosing industry ties ..................
