Dear colleague, I agree with you completely. This "publisher" is usied invalid methods of work with authors and I'm not sure that they publish peer-reviewed articles.

The flourishing industry of publishing phishing. 

Yes, I have been invited to speak at their meetings (three times!). And yes, I had to pay for my attendance as well. However, in all three meetings I did not see any scientists who I might think as inferior or as hobbyists. Their high standard made these meetings very successful and some of the attendants I met again during other meetings (with a higher reputation). I have to say that we all agreed about the low standard of the organization itself and many of us decided to not attend to their meetings any more. Their custom to hand out certificates to all speakers and moderators comes across as a bit childish....Yet, it is nice to find my oral presentations during their meetings on YouTube. None of us fell for submitting papers against high submission fees (their follow-up tactics), we are all too clever for that. Therefore it looks like this group has had its peak and I would think it will go down unless it will clean up its act.

I have also been approached by a similar group (even more dodgy than Omics) called BIT. It organizes its meetings in China. Their conduct is a lot worse than Omics. Be warned! 

Yes, many of us are invited by those, No, no-one of us would declare one of these scientists are minor or hobbyists, it is unfortunate, that many serious scientists are abused by questionable organizations. yeap, BIT handles it the same way.

I am not sure, if your prophecy will occur (that those had already the peak and decrease), especially as they increasingly make it abusing many serious scientists and that even more of those grow up. I really hope you will be right.

Until, - at least to me - I assume, it is our duty as seniors waring our youth taking over responsibilities. This – as we know – could harm the careers of the younger Generation.

- and that was a time in which many scientists were skeptic about Jeffrey Beall's approach because many huge scientific societies tried it the old way: keep still - it will disappear. Even his own faculty gave him a hard time. But it didn't disappear, as we know.

- at at the end there was at least by a huge sign by the court decision - now we have to wait to see what will come up with the revision
