I am searching the phase diagram of mixtures water+hexafluoroisopropanol, i.e. H2O + (CF3)2CHOH. There is nothing in simple internet searches, nothing in research papers, nothing in the CRC handbook, as far as I can tell.
Ideally I require vapour pressure vs concentration, but also boiling temperature vs concentration (the standard phase diagram) would be good, or simply the (non-)existence of an azeotrope.
What I could find is that 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoropropan-2-ol is miscible with water, classified as strong Lewis acid, pKa = 9.3. That means with water it will dissociate to a certain degree. To calculate such mixture properties is not easy and probably no phase diagrams have been published. I assume that a thermodynamic model with capability to handle electrolytic systems is needed for accurate phase equilibrium calculation. If the 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoropropan-2-ol and water are totally miscible, no need for a three phase calculation, ie. liquid-liquid-vapor phase equilibrium calculations are not needed. An (electrolyte) predictive vapor-liquid equilibrium calculation model would possibly provide an acceptable solution. Unfortunately, I am now retired and have no access for such methods.
Just to clarify: I am merely searching for measured (lab) data, and I am not much interested in the liquid phase. From the properties, I agree, one could expect an azeotrope. Aqueous acid often have a maximum boiling point (>100ºC) and minimal vapour pressure (
I agree that it might be much more easier to measure such system. But I am afraid that this system data has not been published, but might be available in some of the companies making this compound. I was dealing a lot with measured data and physical property databases, but often found that data even for many simple and common systems was not available in open literature or databases. In company projects proceeding with speed there usually was no time for measurements and one has to rely on predictive calculations methods. Often, I wished that companies will allow to publish experimental data if they had that done, at least for cases where they do not have any need for that data due to stopped project/closed production etc. They state that the data has been expensive and time consuming to obtain, and will keep that data just for them.
The system does not form an azeotrope.

99 % there is an heteroazeotrope with a minimum boiling point. Heptafluorobutanol + water (Homolog systems) has an heteroazeotrope with a minimum boiling point (own data, published is russian)
