If an open coil that is the loop of wire is placed in front of a

magnet moving with constant velocity then the electro motive force is

induced in it in accordance with the lenz's law. But by mechanics we

know that a magnet moving with a constant velocity need no force to be

applied on it as per newton's first law beatse it has the inertia of

motion and tends to remain in that position without the need of any

external force. Also as the coil is open no current flows through the

coil which would have been present he the boil were closed. Now in the

case discussed the boil is opened so no current flows . Now no current

flows therefore there shall be no opposing magnetic field to oppose

the cause. Now as we can see that neither magnet offer any work to

be done nor anything opposes the changing magnetic field . Thus we get

electrical energy that is voltage without expense of any work . Isn't

this the violation of law of conservation of energy?
