Very often working potential of metal oxide or their composite with carbon material exceed 1 V in aqueous electrolyte though thermodynamicaly unstable

Thanks Dr. Punckt,

The metal Oxide is MnMoO4 and I have used SCE as the reference electrode and 1M Na2SO4 as the supporting electrolyte. The material can potentially work within +1 to -1 V and the CV plot is quite symmetric with two peaks at +0.25 and -0.25V during the negative sweep. I cannot understand the reason behind the large working potential. Please help me.
