Hello,

I am using 5 mL Eppendorf tubes in an oxygen release experiment.

For that I have to create hypoxic conditions first.

I am using a standard vacuum pump to bring the oxygen concentration in the gas phase in the tube down to ~1%, but I have trouble with random leakages.

I was asking myself if the standard 5 mL tube made of polypropylen is even capable of holding that vacuum or if it is permeable for gas?
