What is the impact of pesticides on sown flower margins for bees? In other words, how big is the ecological trap? How long do the pesticdes stay in the flowers? How much runoff is there? What is the longterm effect on the population size/structur? What is the minimum distance between these flower margins and the potential source(s) of pesticides?

Your questions needs to be refocused. The half-life of pesticide residuals in the field is variable: which pesticides are you considering ? Likewise, the duration of availability of flower resources is variable: which flowering plants are you considering ? Finally, a "safe" distance depends on the target insects: what species are you considering ?
Dr.Charles what do you mean by safe distance, agricultural point of view you have to think about it, regarding resources of pesticides,on flower ,leaf etc.pesticides may absorb if the chemical is systemic.
